Yields4 Servings
8 slices center-cut healthy bacon, chopped
1 1/2 pounds green beans, trimmed
 1/2 cup chopped shallot
 3 tbsp Water
 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
 2 tsp Grated garlic
 ¼ tsp Ground pepper
 ¼ tsp Salt
1

In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the healthy bacon until it's slightly crisp and browned, stirring occasionally, for approximately 7 minutes.

2

Once done, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels, but keep the drippings in the skillet.

3

Next, add the green beans and shallot to the skillet.

4

Cook them, stirring occasionally, until the beans start to blister, which usually takes about 3 minutes. Then, reduce the heat to medium and pour in some water.

5

Cover the skillet and let the beans cook undisturbed until they become tender and most of the water has evaporated, approximately 5 minutes.

6

After that, stir in the cooked bacon, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.

7

Keep stirring constantly until the garlic becomes fragrant and the butter has completely melted, which should take about 2 minutes.
